Southern California Chair Zahra Hajee

 

Zahra Hajee is the Southern California Chair of the CADEM AAPI Caucus. She currently serves as Senior Communications Deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath and previously worked for U.S. Senator Alex Padilla. Informed by her own experience sharing her story, she is also an advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.

She most recently managed the successful campaign for Measure G, a historic initiative to reform Los Angeles County governance and expand representation.

With a background in community and electoral organizing, Zahra serves as President of the Asian Democrats of Los Angeles County-one of the largest regional PACs focused on building AAPI electoral representation. She is also the Vice President of California Women’s List. Across these roles, Zahra is committed to elevating young leaders and expanding representation for marginalized communities.

She is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology and an alumna of the Southern California Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs.
