Legislative Chair Gurpreet Kaur

With nearly a decade of experience in California state government, Gurpreet Kaur brings deep expertise in legislative and policy work.  As Statewide Legislative Chair of this Caucus, she will be focusing on advancing equity, representation, and access for AAPI communities.

Gurpreet’s public service career has included roles in the state legislature and executive agencies, where she has developed and analyzed legislation, led coalition efforts, and shaped public policy initiatives. A longtime grassroots organizer, Gurpreet has been politically active since college and continues to build bridges between community voices and the policymaking process.

As Legislative Chair, Gurpreet is committed to championing inclusive policies, protecting civil rights, and ensuring that the priorities of AAPI Californians are heard—and acted upon—at every level of government.
